Newry Surgery Shortlisted for Dentistry Awards
Sun 26 November 2006
Appletree Dental Care, based in Kilmorey Street, Newry, has been shortlisted for the Best New Practice in Northern Ireland for the Dentistry Awards 2006.
These brand new regional awards launched only this year by Dentistry Magazine have been created to recognise oustanding individuals, teams and practices who have an active interest in continuing professional development and staying at the top of the dental profession.
Speaking about the awards Katrina McKevitt, BDS, from the Newry surgery said "We are delighted to have been nominated and now shortlisted for this award."
To enter, Appletree Dental Care had to write 350 words per category saying why they think they deserved to win the award, backing the entry up with pictures and testimonials.
The judging panel consists of top members of the profession including dentists, hygeniests and practice managers.
The winners will be announced at the Dentistry Awards Ceremony on Friday 8 December at the Athena, in Leicester. The Newry representatives will get the chance to dress up at the black-tie event and dance the night away with a 16-piece band set to provide entertainment.
